13 Hangar has unveiled fresh snippets of the upcoming game, Mafia: The Old Country, thanks to IGN First. This sneak peek offers a broader understanding of the gameplay mechanics. It initiates with the main character, Enzo Favara, conversing with Don Torrisi in his residence prior to embarking on a mission.
The plan unfolds as follows: Deciding on a weapon, Enzo selects a Hunting Shotgun. A scenic drive through the picturesque Sicilian countryside in an old-fashioned car precedes his mission – gaining entry to a villa. Enzo has two options for executing this task discreetly: either slip past guards and silently eliminate them with his knife, or use the knife as a projectile to assassinate them from afar.
As I’m darting across, dodging bullets in a heated gunfight, I weave between covers, picking off enemies one by one. Reaching my objective, I deliver a well-aimed blow, but the outcome remains uncertain as to whether it’s enough for the final takedown.
On August 8th, “Mafia: The Old Country” will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms, following its gold certification last month. Keep an eye out for further information and gameplay previews, and don’t forget to witness Enzo’s induction into the Torrisi family by clicking here.
