MAGES. is releasing a new rhythm game called Gekisou! BAND STAR for the Nintendo Switch this winter in Japan. The game will cost 6,380 yen. Fans can also try it out at the Happinet booth during Tokyo Game Show 2025, which takes place from September 25th to 28th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
Here are the first details:
Gekisou! BAND STAR is a rhythm game that lets you play popular songs as part of a full band – you can choose to play the guitar, bass, keyboard, or drums! With tons of customization options and a session play mode, it’s fun for both beginners and experienced players, letting you feel like you’re performing live on stage.
The game includes a soundtrack packed with popular hits from artists like YOASOBI, AKB48, and Omoinotake.
Some of the featured tracks include:
- âBling-Bang-Bang-Bornâ
- âIdolâ
- âMela!â
- âAo no Sumikaâ
- âSome Like It Hot!!â
- âIkuokukonenâ
- âFREEDOMâ
- âApolloâ
- âKoyoi no Tsuki no Youniâ
- âKoi Suru Fortune Cookieâ
- âBlue Birdâ
- âŠand more!
When you play the game, it’s like actually playing guitar – use one hand to make chords and the other to strum! Up to four people can play together on separate consoles, but everyone needs their own copy of the game.
