In Prime Video thriller Malice, revenge is a dish best served cold.
Jack Whitehall plays Adam, a charming tutor who cleverly inserts himself into the lives of the wealthy Tanner family during their vacation, and ultimately moves into their luxurious home in west London.
Adam isn’t just a helpful dad who makes breakfast and gets the kids to activities – he excels at all of it. What really drives him, though, is his intense dislike for Jamie Tanner and a desire to completely dismantle his life.
As Jamie’s life falls apart, he begins to suspect Adam is behind everything that’s gone wrong – but he wonders if he can still save his family.
I was completely gripped by this thrilling story of revenge! It really shows you that the past always has a way of catching up with you, and it left me wondering: what would I do to keep my loved ones safe if the threat came from someone close to home?
He also said he was really looking forward to it. It gave him a good kind of nervous energy – he felt challenged and occasionally a little overwhelmed each day at work.
Honestly, filming this project was a really collaborative experience, and I felt a lot more confident because of the incredible team I had around me. I’m the kind of actor who thrives on feedback – I always want to talk things through with the director and showrunner. Thankfully, they were incredibly patient and supportive, which meant a lot and really helped me grow into the role.
“So I really enjoyed it and relished the challenge of doing something completely different.”
The show stars familiar actors alongside the well-known cast of Whitehall, and also introduces some new faces.

Jack Whitehall plays Adam Healey

Adam Healey is a new tutor and nanny for the wealthy Tanner family, but he has a hidden agenda: to ruin the family’s father, Jamie, whom he despises. He initially appears charming and friendly, but a closer look reveals a darker side beneath his appealing personality. Adam is highly intelligent and uses his charisma to conceal his malicious intentions.
Besides his stand-up comedy, Jack Whitehall is known for his roles in shows like Bad Education, Fresh Meat, and Travels with My Father.
David Duchovny plays Jamie Tanner

Jamie Tanner is a successful venture capitalist who built his wealth himself. He’s a highly competitive person who prioritizes work, sometimes at the expense of his family. Those who know him describe him as someone who gets easily frustrated and throws a tantrum if things don’t go his way – for example, if he can’t get a reservation at a restaurant.
What else has David Duchovny been in? He’s best known for The X-Files and Californication.
Carice van Houten plays Nat Tanner

Nat Tanner is the COO of her own fashion brand and a former model. She’s married to Jamie. Described as someone who knows exactly what she wants and how to achieve it, Nat also has a strong maternal side. While she loves her husband, she’s starting to find him increasingly frustrating.
Besides her well-known role in Game of Thrones, Carice van Houten has also appeared in Black Book, Instinct, and Temple.
Christine Adams plays Jules and Raza Jaffrey plays Damien

Jules is Nat’s friend from college, whom she met while both studying in Paris. The character description notes that Jules is intelligent, dependable, and diligent, though she’s always felt she’s had to strive harder to achieve the same things that come naturally to Nat.
If you’re wondering where else you might recognize Christine Adams, she’s popped up in a bunch of cool shows and movies! I’ve seen her in Black Lightning, Agents of SHIELD, and The Mentalist, and she even had a role in TRON: Legacy. Definitely a familiar face!
Damien is Jules’ husband. He’s described as a kind, thoughtful, and loyal man who doesn’t seem driven by ambition or competition, and is very happy in his marriage to Jules.
What else has Raza Jaffrey been in? His CV includes Homeland, Spooks, Code Black and Lost in Space.
Additional Malice cast includes:
- Harry Gilby (Tolkien, The Last Kingdom and Becoming Elizabeth) plays Kit – Jamie and Nat’s teenage son. “Kit is going through a difficult phase where he feels like everyone is against him – particularly his father,” reads the character description.
- Teddie Allen (MobLand) plays April – Nat and Jamie’s “intelligent, independent” teenage daughter. She’s “permanently embarrassed and combative with her father.”

- Phoenix Jackson Mendoza (Dive Club) plays Jodie – the Tanners’ former nanny.
