Maralee Nichols Shares Rare Photos of Her, Tristan Thompson’s Son Theo

Theo Thompson is quite the little explorer.

Tristan Thompson and Maralee Nichols’ four-year-old son, born from a 2021 paternity dispute where Thompson publicly apologized to Khloe Kardashian after a DNA test confirmed his fatherhood, recently took a quick trip to San Diego with his mother.

Theo enjoyed a trip to the beach and explored many popular attractions in San Diego, such as the San Diego Zoo, The New Children’s Museum, Verbatim Books, and The Lafayette Hotel & Club.

Maralee shared a photo on Instagram of herself and her son at a flamingo exhibit. Another photo showed her son, Theo, relaxing in their hotel room with a warm drink.

The fitness model captioned the snapshots Jan. 13, “Weekend Adventures.”

Since the legal issues with Tristan – who shares 9-year-old Prince with Jordan Craig, and has 7-year-old True and 3-year-old Tatum with Khloe – Maralee has largely stayed out of the public eye.

In a 2021 statement to TopMob News, she explained that she’s choosing to focus on the joy of motherhood and doing everything she can for her son. She also stated she doesn’t want any more publicity or a romantic relationship with Tristan, and her priority is to create a secure, happy, and private life for their child.

After the news broke that Tristan had fathered a child with another woman, Khloe ended their romantic relationship. They split soon after Maralee filed a lawsuit, and Tristan later agreed to financially support both her pregnancy and their son, Theo.

Honestly, hearing Khloe talk about it on The Kardashians really hit me hard. She described it as completely humiliating, and it just felt so raw. She explained how it felt like everyone she trusted had betrayed her, and that everything was based on lies and manipulation. It was just…deceitful, through and through. It was heartbreaking to watch her go through that.

She stated that Tristan definitely had chances to be honest with her. However, she believes he would never have come clean if it hadn’t been for the pregnancy, which she feels reveals a lot about who he is. She described the whole situation as awful.

Okay, so Khloe did forgive Tristan after everything – which, honestly, shocked me, but good for her! But she was SO strong. She absolutely refused to get back together with him romantically, and I totally respect that. They’re just keeping things amicable for True, focusing on co-parenting, and that’s it. It’s not what I wanted, obviously, but she deserves to protect her heart!

Khloé Kardashian addressed the question of whether she’s reconciled with Tristan Thompson, explaining on her podcast, Khloe In Wonder Land, that while they aren’t back together, he remains a present father to their children, and she appreciates that. She clarified, ‘He’s just the father of my kids, so he’s going to be around his kids and I’m really grateful that he is.’

She shared that she really admires his close bond with his children, calling it a wonderful thing and saying she would never interfere with it.

Tristan had his first child, a son named Prince Oliver Thompson, in December 2016. The child’s mother is his ex-partner, Jordan Craig.
