Currently, the family adventure movie Arthur the King is number eight on HBO Max. Ahead of it are The Conjuring: Last Rites, Wicked (likely due to viewers revisiting it before the release of Wicked: For Good), Weapons, The First Purge, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, The Last Duel, and Red One. Following Arthur the King are The Woman in the Yard and Clint Eastwood’s often-overlooked 1986 war film, Heartbreak Ridge.
Shane Black’s movie Play Dirty continues to perform well on Prime Video, currently holding the seventh spot after almost two months of streaming. It’s behind recent releases like After the Hunt, Playdate, and Red One, as well as Our Fault, Mira, and the action film A Working Man starring Jason Statham. Below Play Dirty in the rankings are Migration, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, and Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy.
It’s no surprise that The Family Plan 2, which just came out on November 21st, is currently the most popular movie on Apple TV, with the 2023 original film right behind it. The rest of the top 10 includes Highest 2 Lowest, The Lost Bus, Fountain of Youth, The Gorge, Greyhound, All of You, Ghosted, and Wolfs.
The first Family Plan movie came out in December, but it wasn’t really a Christmas film. However, The Family Plan 2 definitely is, and it’s likely to stay at the top of the charts throughout December. The movie brings back the Morgan family – Dan (Wahlberg), Jessica (Monaghan), and their kids Nina, Kyle, and Max – and their family vacation gets a surprise twist when someone from Dan’s past as an assassin shows up. Adding to the chaos, their oldest child, Nina, wants to spend the holidays away from home, which really tests Dan’s protective instincts as a parent.
