Married at First Sight’s Madison & David Are Engaged After Affair

Madison Myers and David Trimble weren’t an instant match, but they’re thrilled to be starting their lives together.

The couple from season 18 of Married at First Sight got engaged on March 16th, almost two years after a cheating scandal that played out on the popular reality TV show.

Madison announced on Instagram that David proposed to her in Chicago over the weekend during their St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

She shared photos from their weekend celebrations with the caption, “The easiest ‘yes’ of my life!” She said she was incredibly happy after being proposed to and celebrating with a surprise engagement party surrounded by close friends and family.

The photos featured the couple looking lovingly at each other, and another showing Madison beaming as she showed off her engagement ring. She also shared pictures with family and friends, and a detailed close-up of her new diamond ring.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Madison just posted the cutest thing EVER! She shared some photos and wrote, ‘I love you more than anything @chitown_shark and I can’t wait to marry you!’ I’m seriously losing it right now – they are SO meant to be! I’m already planning my outfit for the wedding, even though I haven’t been invited yet. It’s just…perfect!

Madison and David’s happy relationship was a long time in the making. Viewers first met them on Married at First Sight in October 2024. Initially, Madison was matched with Allen Slovick, and David was paired with Michelle Tomblin.

Despite both being married, David and Madison quickly felt a strong connection and began flirting. David was once caught sending Madison a very suggestive text – “You are so damn fine I just wanna eat U up” – while still with his wife, Michelle. He later tried to justify it by saying he felt unfulfilled in his marriage.

Madison and David eventually broke up with Allen and Michelle, and began a relationship with each other. The situation became infamous in reality TV history as the first instance of two married couples having affairs with each other and then switching partners.

Things have been going well for the couple ever since then. Last year, at the season 18 reunion, Madison shared that they couldn’t be happier together.

She told Kevin Frazier how happy she was, explaining that he makes her feel incredibly special effortlessly. She simply said, “He’s the best.”

Madison and David frequently share glimpses of their life together on social media. They post about everything from vacations and workouts to their daily routines, and often express their affection for each other publicly.

David celebrated Madison’s November birthday by telling her she was the most amazing woman he’d ever known.

He described her as beautiful, smart, and incredibly kind. He added that the past two years with her have been amazing, and he feels thankful for her presence in his life every single day.

Oh my gosh, last August Madison just completely melted my heart! She was writing about her fiancé and said he has the most selfless heart – always giving, always caring, and just constantly putting everyone else first. It was the sweetest thing ever, seriously! I knew they were perfect for each other!

She wrote that because of him, her life felt happier and more hopeful, and she’d discovered a love she never imagined. He was her comfort, her teammate in all things, and her closest, most genuine friend.
