Marshawn Kneeland‘s pregnant girlfriend Catalina Mancera is ready to get in the motherhood game.
Almost two months after the tragic death of Dallas Cowboys player Sam Williams, the entrepreneur shared a heartfelt message to their soon-to-be-born child.
Mancera shared an ultrasound photo on Instagram with a heartfelt message: ‘I’ve dreamt of you for so long, even before we met.’ She expressed her excitement about welcoming her baby, while also grieving the loss of the baby’s father. She wrote about the family they had hoped to build together and how much she wishes her child could have known him and experienced the love they shared. While thrilled for her baby’s future, she admitted her heart still feels the pain of his absence.
Even while dealing with loss, the founder of Szn Stitches, a business that creates custom game-day clothing, is staying positive by looking forward to their launch in June.
It doesn’t feel like things will ever get easier, but I believe God understood what I needed. He brought you into my life at the perfect time. You gave me a reason to keep going, hope for the future, and something to lean on during a difficult period. Even though it’s painful, I trust that God has a plan, and I know He’s helping both of us through this.
She hadn’t planned on being a single parent, but she vowed to love her child completely, both for herself and for their father. She excitedly anticipated meeting, holding, and watching her baby grow, already feeling a deep love.

According to police reports obtained by several news sources, athlete Kneeland was involved in a high-speed chase with authorities shortly before he was found dead in Texas on November 6th. During the chase, he reportedly drove over 145 miles per hour at various times.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Kneeland ran away after hitting another car. He was missing for several hours before troopers and Frisco police found his body.
Days after the loss, Mancera shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, writing, ‘My sweet baby, I can’t even begin to describe how much pain I’m in – you meant the world to me. I will always love you, my beautiful angel.’
Even though they’ll miss their most valuable player, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer explained how the team intends to support each other during this time.
At a press conference on November 12th, he announced the creation of the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund to support Catalina. He explained that she is expecting a baby, and the fund will ensure both she and the child are financially secure for the future.
Because Kneeland is still very much a part of their squad.
Schottenheimer stressed how much his players cared, both about the situation and about supporting their teammate. He confirmed that the player remains a valued member of the team.
As Mancera game plans for her future, look back at Kneeland’s life.

Marshawn Kneeland‘s football career started long before his time at the NFL.
While in high school in Michigan, Marshawn was a standout player, making 110 tackles and 8 sacks on defense. He also excelled on offense, with 20 catches for 330 yards and 5 touchdowns.

After finishing school, Marshawn went to Western Michigan University and played football for four years, finishing with an impressive 149 tackles and 12.5 sacks.

The athlete was known for his incredible dedication while at school. He consistently spent extra time at the team’s facilities, practicing and studying game film to improve his skills.
According to his coach, David Denham, that’s when he began to really pull ahead of the competition.

The Dallas Cowboys drafted Marshawn in the second round of 2024, and team owner Jerry Jones famously told him, “We’re going to put a star on that helmet.”
The young athlete was determined to savor every second of the experience. He described draft night as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” and expressed his excitement to be a part of it.

I’ve always admired how Marshawn carried his strong work ethic with him, even as he moved into the NFL and geared up for his rookie season. It really showed in his preparation – he didn’t let the change in environment affect his dedication.

As for how he was approaching the NFL, Marshawn just wanted to stick to his game plan.
After being drafted, the player said he plans to continue playing the same way he always has: with a lot of energy, speed, and physicality. He believes success will depend on consistently making good plays.

During his time with the Texas team, the 24-year-old player participated in 18 games, starting four of them. He finished with a total of 26 tackles and one sack.

Just days before his death, Marshawn scored his first touchdown in the league.
According to his agent, Jonathan Perzley, Marshawn Beast Mode Lynch was a player who gave everything he had to the game. Perzley said that Lynch’s talent, positive energy, and kind heart will be deeply missed, and it’s difficult to express how much his loss hurts.
