The game Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been delayed, joining GTA 6 in pushing its release to a later date. With 2025 coming to an end, gamers are now focusing on the games planned for 2026, which is already shaping up to be a fantastic year. Titles like Marvel’s Wolverine and 007 First Light are expected to launch, potentially making it one of the best years for gaming this generation – especially if GTA 6 stays on track. While things look promising, gamers should anticipate that release dates could change as we get closer to the launch windows.
A major question mark for 2026 is Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, a new game by Amy Hennig, known for creating the Uncharted series. The game teams up Captain America and Black Panther during World War II to fight against Hydra. It’s an exciting idea that lets players experience the roles of two iconic Marvel heroes who haven’t been featured much in games before. While there are several Marvel games in development, updates on this one have been scarce, and fans are beginning to wonder about its progress.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Delayed Indefinitely
Ugh, I just heard some disappointing news about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. It’s been delayed again! They were originally aiming for early 2026, but now there’s no release date in sight, which is really frustrating. Honestly, I’m not sure when – or even if – it will come out next year. Skydance Games says they’re doing this to make sure the game is amazing and lives up to all our expectations, which I get, but it’s still a bummer. Maybe we’ll get a new look at it during The Game Awards next month, but for now, it’s just a waiting game.
Important update regarding MARVEL 1943: Rise of Hydra.
— Skydance Games (@SkydanceGames) November 6, 2025
Footage of gameplay from Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra appeared online last month, including a look at Black Panther fighting. However, that footage was likely from an older build of the game. So far, Skydance has only released cinematic trailers, and we haven’t seen official gameplay yet. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra could be a major game next year if it’s released on schedule, but it remains to be seen if it will be as successful as Marvel’s Wolverine.
