Marvel Cosmic Invasion Is Adding One of My Fave Heroes Today, And a New Mode in 2026

I was the perfect age to enjoy the X-Men animated series, so I’ve always been a big fan of Cyclops.

Let me quickly share my excitement about Scott Summers joining the upcoming beat-’em-up, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

It looks like this will be a major year for this character, with Netease hinting at their inclusion in the upcoming game, Marvel Rivals.

If you already have the game Tribute, you can start playing as Cyclops right now! He’s available as part of a downloadable content pack that also includes The Thing, and it costs $3.99.

The no-nonsense leader of the X-Men and one of the most-requested additions by fans, Cyclops blasts into battle to make quick work of foes with his signature kinetic energy beams. The Thing
The Fantastic Four’s heaviest hitter brings his cosmic radiation-induced might to the fray, excelling in MARVEL Cosmic Invasion as a grappling-focused powerhouse. With surprising mobility allowing him to bounce across environments to get the jump on enemies, this former ace pilot embraces his new role as a tanklike protector of family and allies alike, arriving as an incredible asset to any team.

I’m really pleased to hear the Canadian developer is planning another DLC pack later this year, promising new challenges and even more characters to play as. We’ll have more details soon.

It’s hard to say if this style of beat-’em-up can really impress players these days, but Marvel Cosmic Invasion delivered solid, old-school enjoyment. It’s already proven popular, selling over 1.5 million copies globally.

I’m planning to get this downloadable content, and I’m curious to see what other characters they release later this year.
