A Marvel TV show on Disney+ just received a promising update for a Season 2.
What is the Marvel Zombies Season 2 update?
Brad Winderbaum from Marvel Studios recently discussed Season 2 of Marvel Zombies on the podcast The Escape Pod. While Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed another season of the animated series, Winderbaum shared that new episodes are currently in development.
Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum shared that he watched an early version of the first episode of Marvel Zombies Season 2 and called it ‘crazy.’ He couldn’t reveal details, but promised the season will not only feature zombies, but also something completely new for the Marvel Cinematic Universe that the team is thrilled about.
Marvel Zombies explores a different version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, building on the ‘What If… Zombies?’ episode from Season 1 of What If…? The story follows a small group of survivors who, after the Avengers fall victim to a zombie outbreak, search for a way to stop the super-powered undead. They embark on a dangerous journey across a ruined world, risking everything to save it, as described in the official summary.
The film features a star-studded voice cast, including Awkwafina as Katy Chen, David Harbour as Red Guardian (Alexei Shostakov), Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff), Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Dominique Thorne as Ironheart (Riri Williams), Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), and Todd Williams as Blade Knight.
Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells brought Marvel Zombies to Disney+. They both wrote the series, and Andrews also directed all four episodes. Danielle Costa and Carrie Wassenaar served as producers, while Andrews, Wells, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt were executive producers.
Marvel Zombies Season 1 launched on September 24, 2025, and critics generally liked it. You can watch all four episodes now on Disney+.
