Eagle-eyed Marvel fans spotted The Watcher, a well-known character from the comics, in the fourth episode of the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. The show, starring Charlie Cox, began streaming on Disney+ in March and also includes appearances by Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Krysten Ritter.
Fans think The Watcher was in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 4
Marvel fans have been buzzing online, claiming they spotted The Watcher in the new season of Daredevil: Born Again.
The latest episode of the Marvel series sparked a lot of discussion on X (formerly Twitter) when viewers thought they saw a figure that looked like the Watcher at the very end. It’s still unclear if this was intentional – a hidden nod to fans – or just a random occurrence.
A video clip from the TV show Daredevil is gaining popularity online. It shows Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil and portrayed by Charlie Cox, attempting to stop a sniper near Fogwell’s Gym.
As viewers watched Murdock leave, the camera focused on a face appearing in a window – created by the reflection of two fluorescent lights in the dim room. Shortly after, a well-known source of leaks, known as My Time To Shine Hello, posted the scene on X (formerly Twitter) and expressed their surprise, simply writing, “Wait is that…”
One fan praised the character’s introduction, saying it was exactly how they pictured The Watcher coming to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and calling it a brilliant move.
Another fan suggested the scene was intentionally included by Marvel, stating, “There’s no way that pattern wasn’t meant to be the Watcher.”
Additionally, a user named Trizzy reacted by posting the popular Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme.
Someone suggested Matt, the main character, should react to the Watcher being nearby. They wrote that it would be great if Matt seemed distracted, as if he sensed someone else was there, if the Watcher appeared in the background.
The Watcher hasn’t appeared as a live-action character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet. However, an animated version of the character, voiced by Jeffrey Wright, has been included in the series What If…? and I Am Groot.
