The latest look for Spider-Man features several Marvel characters, including Ant-Man, and boasts a fresh design. Ant-Man has become a key figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, despite not always being considered one of the most popular heroes. Paul Rudd’s portrayal has led to a complete Ant-Man movie series, where he even managed to defeat the villain Kang the Conqueror.
I’m so excited to hear Paul Rudd will definitely be back as Ant-Man for Avengers: Doomsday! It’s great to know that’s confirmed, especially since things are a little up in the air with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. He’s the focus of Spider-Man: Brand New Day right now, but it’s unclear if he’ll be joining the Avengers in 2026. If we’re hoping to see Ant-Man and Spider-Man team up, it looks like we might have to look at some of Marvel’s other recent projects for now.
Marvel Has Revealed What Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4’s Ant-Man Looks Like
Disney+’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends is a huge hit! It’s the first Marvel show on the streaming service to reach over 1 billion hours of watch time. Currently in its fourth season, the show has already been renewed for seasons five and six, and has also inspired additional shows and specials.
The success of Spidey and His Amazing Friends is a win for Marvel, introducing a new generation to the world of superheroes. The show features a variety of Marvel characters, focusing on Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy. Each character has unique powers and a Spider-Man identity: Peter as Spider-Man, Miles as Spin, and Gwen as Ghost-Spider.
In season 4 of Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Ant-Man made a recent appearance in the episode “Playpen Pandemonium.” In this episode, voiced by Sean Giambrone, Ant-Man teams up with Spider-Man to stop Doc Ock and Rhino. The villains plan to use Ant-Man’s shrinking technology to rob a new playpen. Ant-Man is seen wearing a silver helmet shaped like an ant, along with a modern red and blue suit.
How Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4’s Ant-Man Compares To Other Versions Of The Marvel Hero
The Ant-Man design in season 4 of Spidey and his Amazing Friends looks more like the classic comic book version than the Ant-Man suits seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies so far. The show successfully blends traditional and modern styles, while the MCU costumes are typically more armored and often include prominent black sections.
The animated version of Ant-Man’s suit closely resembles the classic look from the Marvel comics, particularly with the accurate design and mouth opening of the silver helmet. While it keeps the blue color scheme, the traditional trunks have been updated to pants. The chest circle is now blue instead of black, giving it a more contemporary feel. Interestingly, the Spider-Man TV show actually captured Ant-Man’s design quite well.
