As a huge MCU fan, I’m really excited about a particular setting that could make their next movie – and the rest of Phase 6 – truly special. Even though Phase 6 is shaping up to be a bit smaller than usual, especially with the delays, it’s still promising some awesome new stories with both familiar faces and fresh characters.
Marvel Studios is currently releasing Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, and will soon follow it up with The Punisher: One Last Kill on Disney+ and Spider-Man: Brand New Day in movie theaters. This is the first time ever in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that three projects in a row will all be set in the same city – New York City.
I’m really hooked on the second season of Born Again! It’s a gritty, street-level story unfolding all over New York City. Things are heating up because Wilson Fisk is now mayor, and Matt Murdock is gearing up for a major showdown with him. It looks like Matt is determined to expose and shut down Fisk’s illegal gun trade, and it’s going to be a huge battle!

Following the conclusion of Born Again, Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as the Punisher in a special presentation on Disney+ starting May 12th. In this standalone mission set in New York, Frank Castle will confront a group of criminals headed by Ma Gnucci, though the exact plot details are still mostly secret.

On July 31st, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will see Peter Parker return to New York City, continuing his secret life as a hero after Doctor Strange erased everyone’s memory of him. While the story will largely stay within New York, it promises to be one of Peter’s most challenging adventures yet.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s sixth phase will take us to several exciting new locations, and here’s a look at some of them.
Other Confirmed Locations for MCU Phase 6 Projects
VisionQuest

The upcoming series, VisionQuest, will continue the story of Paul Bettany’s Vision, following the events of WandaVision and the Agatha All Along spin-off. Featuring returning cast members like James Spader and introducing new faces such as Ruaridh Mollica, Emily Hampshire, Faran Tahir, and Todd Stashwick, the show centers on White Vision’s journey to recover his memories after encountering the original Vision within Wanda Maximoff’s created reality.
According to reports, the new series will revisit Madripoor, a hidden city that hasn’t been seen since its appearance in the 2021 show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The trailer, unveiled at New York Comic-Con 2025, also suggests a portion of the story will take place within Vision’s mind.
Avengers: Doomsday

Hitting theaters on December 18th, Avengers: Doomsday is predicted to be the largest superhero film ever made, boasting an incredibly large cast – over 30 actors! The movie will feature Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, who is on a mission to obliterate the entire multiverse and everyone within it.
The upcoming movie, Doomsday, promises exciting settings, though some haven’t been officially announced yet. Trailers have already shown glimpses of places like Wakanda, Westchester County (home of the X-Mansion), and possibly New Asgard. We also saw a hint of where Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and his family are living. Expect to see even more locations revealed in future trailers.
Avengers: Secret Wars

Building on the scale of Avengers: Doomsday, the 2027 film Avengers: Secret Wars promises to be the most ambitious and action-filled comic book movie ever made. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, it will again star Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom alongside a large ensemble cast. Details about the plot and other characters are currently being kept secret.
Although the filming locations haven’t been announced, Latveria, the home country of Doctor Doom, is a strong possibility, as it was hinted at in the upcoming 2025 film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Plus, drawing from the Secret Wars comics, the storyline will likely heavily feature Battleworld – a world Doom creates by combining pieces of different universes.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2

I’m so excited for the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man coming to Disney+ later this year! It’s a really fresh take on the Spider-Man story, with Hudson Thames doing a fantastic job as our hero. What I love is that it’s set in a different universe and shows us how Peter Parker first becomes Spider-Man, while also dealing with characters like Norman Osborn and all his classic enemies. It’s a great show, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The show is primarily set in New York City, faithfully recreating Spider-Man’s famous home. Peter Parker, who hails from Queens, swings through the city, protecting it from villains who threaten to take control.
