At long last, Ironheart has officially premiered on Disney Plus, focusing on Riri Williams, portrayed by Dominique Thorne, who finds herself back in her native city of Chicago after the incidents depicted in Wakanda Forever.
However, things don’t always go smoothly for her when she encounters the magical gangster Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos). Throughout the series, it becomes a battle between technology and magic as Riri struggles to find her place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, driven by her determination to leave an impact on the world.
In the show, viewers will get acquainted with Natalie, an AI within Ironheart’s suit that functions much like Tony Stark’s Jarvis. Notably, it was modeled based on Riri’s deceased best friend.

In a manner similar to how artificial intelligence in our world is becoming increasingly independent, it’s becoming common for these systems not to halt operations in order to accept or process commands, much like Natalie does in the series.
It seems we’re navigating a balance, oscillating between friendliness and vigilance, which, in my opinion, mirrors the complex emotions people ought to have towards AI.
Building AI with a sense of responsibility can lead to groundbreaking advancements that benefit humanity. However, if not handled responsibly, AI could repeat the mistakes humans have made throughout history. That’s why I find it intriguing to explore this idea.
In the year 2016, Riri Williams entered the Marvel universe for the first time, showcasing her superhero skills in the ninth issue of Invincible Iron Man, where she made her comics premiere.
Riri ultimately crafted her own armor, reminiscent of Iron Man’s, due to her exceptional intellect. It didn’t take much time for him to notice her, and before long, she became a significant new partner in his endeavors.
The way she debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was altered, as Tony Stark passed away at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame in the year 2019.
Marvel’s Ironheart is coming to Disney Plus on Wednesday 25th June.
