The latest trailer for Avengers: Doomsday shows Wakanda getting ready for a big fight. We hear Shuri’s voice as she prepares her people, and we get our first look at Namor from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The trailer suggests that the conflict between Shuri and Namor ultimately united Wakanda and Talokan, with both leaders appearing alongside each other. Shuri’s presence in the trailer also hints at significant changes coming for the Black Panther within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The recent trailer for Avengers: Doomsday showed off some cool changes to Namor, but Shuri’s new costume is even more eye-catching. Namor looks great in his black suit, but Shuri’s Black Panther outfit appears to have been significantly upgraded—not with Wakandan technology, but with tech from Talokan.
Shuri’s Black Panther suit is noticeably different from both her brother T’Challa’s and her previous one. While T’Challa’s suit was primarily black with minimal detail, and Shuri’s earlier suit featured mostly black with gold, her newest design incorporates a lot more blue and gold. These aren’t just aesthetic choices, though; the suit is actually made with Talokan vibranium-infused jade, giving it a unique look and likely enhancing its capabilities.
What Does This Mean For The Black Panther In Avengers: Doomsday?

The growing partnership between Shuri, Wakanda, and Namor’s people is significant, and some fans are understandably cautious. After Namor attacked Wakanda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Queen Ramonda tragically died, Shuri chose peace instead of revenge. It’s becoming clear that Shuri believes a strong alliance between Wakanda and Talokan is essential, as she doesn’t trust many other nations, particularly the United States.
The designs on Shuri’s costume suggest a potential collaboration between the scientists of Talokan and Wakanda, which could significantly boost both nations. Given Shuri’s history of improving T’Challa’s Panther Habit with her inventions, access to Talokan technology and Vibranium could make her even more powerful than her brother. This advancement might come at a crucial time, preparing her for the arrival of Doctor Doom.
The next Avengers movie, ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ will bring together a massive team to fight Doctor Doom. Sam Wilson’s new group, The Thunderbolts, will join forces with the kingdoms of Wakanda and Talokan, as well as the Fantastic Four and X-Men. Doctor Doom, who uses both magic and technology, presents a unique challenge, and the collaboration between tech geniuses like Shuri and Reed Richards promises exciting developments. Shuri, now even more formidable in battle with her new Panther Habit, will be a key player both in the lab and on the front lines.
