The first glimpse of the costumes for Masters of the Universe at CinemaCon last year created a lot of excitement for the movie. Since then, trailers and new toys have continued to build anticipation, and now fans at CinemaCon have just seen even more new footage before the film comes out.
The latest clip opens with Prince Adam being arrested and taken away in a police car. He tried to steal the Power Sword from a collectibles shop, insisting it belongs to him. Suddenly, Beast Man attacks, wrecking the police car and going after Adam. Luckily, Teela arrives to help – it’s the first time Adam has seen her since childhood. Teela rescues Adam, and after a brief conversation, asks if he’s ready to go home. The rest of the clip is mostly a longer version of the previous trailer, with just a few new scenes added.
The Time Has Finally Arrived For Masters of the Universe

Every new trailer and clip released is building excitement for the return of this beloved franchise after nearly 40 years. The last Masters of the Universe movie came out in 1987, and the recent footage suggests it’s finally time for the series to have a strong comeback on the big screen.
The upcoming movie will feature a fantastic cast bringing the world of Eternia to life. Nicholas Galitzine and Jared Leto will star as He-Man and Skeletor, and they’ll be joined by a stellar group of actors including Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Camila Mendes as Teela, Kristen Wiig as Roboto, and Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress.
Good news for fans of the many characters in Masters of the Universe! We’ve already seen glimpses of actors playing Fisto (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson), Trap Jaw (Sam C. Wilson), Mekaneck (James Wilkinson), Goat Man (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson), Ram-Man (Jon Xue Zhang), and Tri-Klops (Kojo Attah), and those are just some of the faces appearing in the movie.
The new footage didn’t include Orko, and his role in the movie is still a mystery. We’re hoping he appears, but the filmmakers might be holding him back for a possible sequel. Ideally, this film will launch a franchise, as Masters of the Universe has a rich and expansive world with enough story to support many movies.
Masters of the Universe is set to hit theaters on June 5th, 2026.
