As a lifelong fan of Masters of the Universe, I’ve always loved the epic scope of the heroes and villains. Of course, everyone focuses on He-Man and Skeletor, and it’s exciting to see them facing off again in the new movie. But honestly, Skeletor isn’t the only great villain in the franchise! I was really pleased to see some recent footage highlighting another one of my favorites, giving them a chance to really shine alongside Skeletor.
A new behind-the-scenes look at Masters of the Universe, called ‘Master of the Screen,’ has been released. It includes both footage from the making of the film and some brand new scenes. While it doesn’t have as much new footage as previous featurettes, it does showcase more of the exciting fight between the villainous Evil-Lyn and Teela. These scenes are shown alongside footage of He-Man battling the Skel-Knights. You can watch the new footage in the video provided.
Skeletor Gets All The Shine, But Evil-Lyn Is Just As Deadly

Throughout most versions of the story, Evil-Lyn consistently sides with Skeletor and is one of his key allies. While she isn’t as strong as Skeletor himself, she’s incredibly dangerous. She can create terrible storms, turn into shadows, fire powerful energy blasts, and even call down meteor showers – and that’s just a glimpse of what she’s capable of.
Evil-Lyn is a powerful and cunning strategist, making her a valuable but unpredictable ally to Skeletor. She consistently aids him in his battles against He-Man, but always with a hidden agenda – she’s constantly looking for the right moment to seize power and take over his kingdom, creating a constant undercurrent of tension between them.
The dynamic between Skeletor and Evil-Lyn is what makes their team-up so interesting, and we’re hoping the movie showcases that. While trailers have featured Skeletor quite a bit, we’ve only gotten brief glimpses of Evil-Lyn, mostly during her fight with Teela. We’re excited to see more of her in action when the film comes out.
Masters of the Universe is set to hit theaters on June 5th, 2026.
