Meghan Markle often makes headlines, and her new holiday special, With Love, Meghan, hasn’t been well-received. It currently has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
It’s unusual for a new series to receive a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but that’s exactly what’s happened to Holiday Celebration – With Love, Meghan. Based on initial reviews from five critics, the special has been largely disappointing. Some have described it as feeling like The Stepford Wives or “a little bit sad,” and others have noted its strangely energetic pace.
Meghan Markle has faced negative press coverage, which likely impacted how viewers received her show. However, the series also didn’t resonate with the general audience, earning a low 13% rating. Among over 100 reviews, many described the show as “boring,” while others found it to be “very inauthentic.”
Netflix
The series With Love, Meghan premiered on March 4, 2025, and includes 16 episodes plus a recent Christmas special. Currently, it has a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is better than the score it received for its holiday episode.
The Netflix series follows the former royal as she lives on her California property, welcoming friends and celebrities while she cooks, gardens, and offers helpful tips.
Jameson Stocks, a well-known chef who has cooked for King Charles and received an award from The King’s Trust, recently told Express what he thinks about the upcoming Holiday special.
The show feels repetitive and uninspired. It’s a slow, predictable continuation of last season’s issues, packed with unnecessary references and unhelpful cooking demonstrations. It seems like the only reason people still watch is to see Prince Harry’s brief, strange cameo – he unexpectedly walks into a stranger’s kitchen and pops up behind them while they’re cooking.

I was really surprised when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to step down as senior royals and move away from Britain. It definitely caused a lot of talk! Before marrying Harry, Meghan was an actress – I loved her in Suits – and she gave that up to start a new life with him.
In 2021, Harry and Meghan Markle gave a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey, sharing their experiences with the royal family. Dissatisfied with their life within the royal institution, they chose to step down from their roles and start a new life in a different country.
As a fan, I’m really worried that this might be the last we see of “With Love, Meghan.” It doesn’t seem to be doing as well as hoped, and unless a lot more people start watching, it looks like this could be the final episode. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but it’s not looking good!
