Mel Gibson and Rosalind Ross are parting ways.

The actor known for Braveheart and his partner, who have an 8-year-old son named Lars, revealed they split up in 2024 after being together for nine years.

Mel shares several children with two former partners. He has Hannah Brobst (45), Christian Gibson (43), Edward Gibson (43), William Gibson (39), Louie Gibson (36), Milo Gibson (35), and Thomas Gibson (26) with his ex-wife, Robyn Moore. He also has Lucia Gibson (26) with ex Oksana Grigorieva. This news about Rosalind comes almost a year after a fire destroyed their home in Malibu during the Los Angeles wildfires.

Rosalind and Lars were at home when a fire broke out in their neighborhood and they had to evacuate quickly. It happened while they were away, and their husband was recording an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. He referenced George Carlin’s commentary on material possessions, saying, ‘I had my stuff there, and now it’s all gone – reduced to ashes. It’s like a weight has been lifted.’

Mel, 69, and Rosalind, 35, faced questions about their 34-year age difference during their relationship, but they consistently dismissed any worries about it.

He told The Mirror in 2016 that age doesn’t matter in their relationship. He explained they have a strong connection and are both adults. While he acknowledged there might be challenges or concerns, he said things are going well. He described her as a wonderful person and expressed his affection, adding that he couldn’t ask for anything more.
