On a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host did an impression of Donald Trump before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. During the skit, Kimmel jokingly said about Melania Trump, “SO beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.” Mrs. Trump responded to the joke by criticizing Kimmel on X.
Melania Trump Now Calls for Jimmy Kimmel’s Firing
On April 27th, Melania Trump responded to Jimmy Kimmel, stating that his harsh and aggressive language aims to create division in the United States. She argued that his comments about her family weren’t funny, but instead harmful and contribute to the growing negativity in American politics.
The First Lady criticized Jimmy Kimmel, stating he shouldn’t be allowed to use his show to promote negativity. She called him a coward who relies on ABC to shield him from accountability.
She stated firmly that ABC needs to act now. She questioned how much longer ABC’s leaders will allow Kimmel to behave so badly and harm their community.
The incident with Jimmy Kimmel’s comedy segment occurred several days before the shooting at Saturday’s dinner.
ABC and Kimmel haven’t responded to the First Lady’s comments.
