We have fond memories of Beat Hazard Ultra. This game leveraged the advanced multimedia capabilities of the PS3, enabling users to incorporate their personal playlists. It then crafted twin-stick shooter levels synchronized with a soundtrack of the player’s choice.

Indeed, the acclaimed developer Cold Beam Games is making a return to PlayStation platforms after a 12-year hiatus. They are launching Beat Hazard Arcade on both the PS5 and PS4 consoles.

The product is set to debut on the 24th of September, though its release calendar is becoming increasingly complex and disorderly.

In this latest edition, just like before, I’ve got the freedom to rock my personal playlist via MP3s on a USB stick while I game. But if creating a custom soundtrack isn’t my cup of tea, this game also offers a whopping 4.5 hours of built-in music for an uninterrupted gaming experience!

It was inquired about whether the device could be compatible with apps such as Spotify, however, it seems it’s not an option on PlayStation, regretfully.
