Mikayla Nogueira will be taking it easy for a while.
The TikToker shared that she’s recovering after a sudden illness led to emergency surgery. She collapsed while filming a makeup tutorial and doctors discovered she needed her appendix removed.
I was actually filming a TikTok when everything suddenly started spinning, and I couldn’t catch my breath. I ended up collapsing and completely blacked out. When I finally came to, the first thing I did was grab my phone and call 911. There was no way I could have driven myself anywhere in that state, I just knew it!
The 27-year-old was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and doctors quickly performed a CT scan, he said.
She explained that doctors discovered her appendix was about to burst, so she had to have emergency surgery to remove it.
After surgery, Nogueira revealed she has three incisions on her stomach and is currently unable to walk. Thankfully, she’s receiving support from her new boyfriend, Zach, who she says is being very kind and helpful, especially after announcing her divorce from Cody Hawken in February.
The influencer said she wasn’t expecting to need surgery before she was suddenly hospitalized. She hadn’t realized things would get that serious.
Nogueira said she flew back from Los Angeles Thursday night and began feeling really uncomfortable and in pain during the flight. She arrived home around 2 a.m., hoping to rest and feel better.

As she put it, “I tried to push through, figured it was just a stomach ache.”
But after her hospitalization, Nogueira is planning to rest and recover.
She shared with her fans that she wasn’t thrilled about how she was spending her birthday on June 13th, hinting at a difficult time ahead. She wanted to let them know what was going on and reassured them she would be resting in bed, ending the message with an expression of love.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Brie Bella – my absolute QUEEN – told everyone that she actually had a breast implant move after getting hit with an elbow by Piper Niven during a match last July! Can you even imagine?! It happened right in the ring, during a wrestling match! I’m seriously obsessed with everything about this – it’s just so…Brie!
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as she finished her current commitment – ‘once the boots are hung up’ – she would return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, anticipating future use and wanting it to be presentable.

Lupita Nyong’o received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids – non-cancerous tumors that grow on or within the uterus – in 2014, which was also the year she won an Academy Award for her role in 12 Years a Slave.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.
Growing up, many girls are told to expect period pain and accept it as a normal part of womanhood. This often leaves them dealing with these struggles on their own, even though they’re incredibly common.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.
She messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “You haven’t tweeted in ages!” Then, jokingly, she added, “Have you ever thought maybe I wore pants so tight six months ago that I got a hernia and I’ve been too afraid to mention it?”

I was so worried to hear back in April of this year that one of my favorite stars from Beverly Hills, 90210 had been dealing with a really scary health issue! Apparently, he needed surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing. Thankfully, he’s recovering now, and I’m sending him all my best wishes.
Okay, so last week was insane! Brian posted this video on Instagram, and he said he started getting stomach pain. Turns out, he had to go to the ER, and it was his appendix! It wasn’t fully burst, thank goodness, but it was super close – like, right before it did! I was seriously so worried when I saw that video, but relieved it wasn’t worse. I’ve been checking his updates constantly ever since!
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

I was really surprised to learn that Adam Devine is still dealing with the effects of being hit by a cement truck when he was just eleven! He mentioned it in an interview, and it’s incredible how something that happened so long ago can continue to impact him.
Devine described his health struggles as “a nightmare” in a 2025 interview on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast. He explained he experiences spasms throughout his body and that doctors recently believed he was facing a life-threatening condition, even telling him he might not have much time left.
He mentioned that his pain is intermittent, explaining that he has some physical imperfections and things that aren’t quite right with his body.

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl to get help, and the pain had gotten worse during a road trip with a friend.
He described still feeling tingling in his knees and toes as of March 2025, which he found surprising. To illustrate the extent of the issue, he mentioned that just two to three weeks—or maybe a month—prior, he had been squatting around 295 pounds. Now, however, he couldn’t even do a basic squat or stand on one foot without falling, comparing the sensation to having had a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

It was terrifying! We were with another group when someone carelessly fired a gun in the wrong direction, and tragically, I ended up getting shot in the face. Thankfully, Brendan Rooney reacted instantly – he quickly checked me over and raced me to the hospital. I was hit five times total, and one bullet came dangerously close to my right eye, missing by less than an inch! It’s something I’ll never forget, but I owe Brendan everything for his quick thinking.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often negative side, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving criticism online, doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome – a condition often caused by high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She wouldn’t have known about the condition without the online feedback. Thankfully, doctors determined her case of Cushing syndrome would resolve on its own, which Amy called “the greatest news imaginable.” She shared this relief in a February 2024 newsletter, happy to be healthy.

She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially struggling to respond when Justin noticed something was wrong. She couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop, but these symptoms eventually subsided.
After going to the hospital, doctors discovered Hailey had suffered a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed she had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO).
Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her brain through this hole, causing the TIA. Hailey underwent a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, the singer revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which temporarily paralyzed part of his face and led him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, causing paralysis. He showed fans how it impacted his ability to blink, smile, and even move one nostril. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually subsided. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but assuring everyone he would be completely fine and was grateful he was improving.

She described becoming violently ill and realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to an aneurysm. Emilia underwent immediate surgery, which she described as incredibly painful. During recovery, she temporarily lost her speech and struggled to communicate.
Although she was released from the hospital after a month, a 2013 scan showed another growth that had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, causing a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform an even more invasive operation, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, the actress described experiencing hearing loss, extreme fatigue – being unable to walk for even short periods without needing hours of rest – and persistent stomach pain. She faced confusion as various doctors offered differing diagnoses.
Determined to find answers while respecting her holistic background in herbalism, Woodley sought guidance from both traditional medical doctors and alternative healers. This search for well-being lasted a decade.
The physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image and self-identity. She explained how constant pain created a cycle of anxiety and confusion about her own body.
Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now doing much better. “It was a journey that ultimately physically resolved itself,” she said, adding that she’s very happy to be healthy again.
