Mindy Kaling’s Timothée Chalamet Halloween Costume Is a Slam Dunk

The actress, known for her role in The Office, got her idea for a 2025 Halloween costume from Timothée Chalamet. However, she didn’t dress as a character from Dune or imitate Bob Dylan. Instead, she chose to recreate one of Chalamet’s favorite hobbies: being a fan of the New York Knicks.

Throughout the basketball team’s surprising 2025 playoff run, Timothée, along with dedicated fans Ben Stiller and Spike Lee, was a regular attendee at games. Mindy had many outfits she could wear, and she decided to copy Timothée’s all-orange look from game six of the Eastern Conference Finals, including his gold chain and growing mustache. While Timothée had his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, with him as his team’s playoff journey ended, Mindy chose to pose for photos on her own.

After sharing photos comparing the two actors and giving full credit to the Wonka star, the creator of Running Point playfully wrote, “Turns out orange is the new pink!”

She didn’t show off her youngest child’s costume, but she did share pictures of her older two. Kit dressed up as a glamorous witch for Halloween, while Spencer went as Optimus Prime from the Transformers.

Mindy wasn’t the only celebrity who looked to other stars for Halloween costume ideas. Hailey and Justin Bieber dressed their 14-month-old son, Jack, as a mini-Justin from his 2010 tour – a truly adorable tribute!
