Most video games don’t reward selfish behavior, but Mistfall Hunter is different. It’s a game centered around greed – how far you’ll go to get treasure, gain power, and control a wildly unpredictable world.
We’re really looking forward to the combat in this game. But a recent gameplay preview revealed a world that feels bleak and hopeless, yet still dangerous because of creatures called the Gyldenmist. As a Gyldhunter, you’ll compete against other hunters, and some players may choose to cooperate to improve their chances.
Your success will largely depend on choosing the right class. If you enjoy controlling powerful elements and overwhelming your enemies, the Sorcerer is a great fit. Prefer a stealthy approach, striking from the shadows? The Shadowstrike class will let you deal significant damage with precision. The Seer and Blackarrow are also strong choices, each offering a distinct playstyle. Mastering any of these classes will really elevate your gameplay.
Working with a team makes things even more strategic. One player could sacrifice their loot to help a teammate escape the Gyldenmist’s corruption and give them a chance to survive. Just remember to choose your allies wisely!
Overall, Mistfall Hunter looks like a really promising and well-made extraction RPG. It’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC in July.
