This brand-new BBC drama, titled “Mix Tape,” delves into the enchanting world of music. Our story revolves around Daniel and Alison, two individuals who shared a vibrant adolescent love, yet find themselves living continents apart today.
Through a familiar tune from their past, they find themselves thrust back into contemplating the unanswered “if onlys” that have lingered – yet can they reignite the connection they once shared?
The title and summary suggest that this four-part series primarily explores the influence of music, and indeed, it’s filled with catchy tunes that lead us seamlessly from one episode to another.
Regarding the announcement about the acquisition of the series for BBC broadcast, Sue Deeks, head of BBC Programme Acquisition, expressed that “Mix Tape, complete with a fantastic ’80s soundtrack, offers an enjoyable mix of nostalgia, romance, and heartache – it’s truly the ideal summer escape!
