The battling Harrigans and their favorite fixer will soon be back in action.
The first season of the British crime drama MobLand featured Tom Hardy as Harry, a ruthless enforcer fiercely loyal to crime boss Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and his manipulative wife, Maeve (Helen Mirren). The show revolved around a conflict between rival criminal families and received generally positive reviews, earning a 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it was incredibly popular with viewers, prompting Paramount+ to renew it for another season in June 2025.
While there’s no official release date for MobLand season 2 yet, director and producer Guy Ritchie told ScreenRant‘s Tatiana Hullender on the In the Grey podcast that fans can expect it sometime in 2026.
Ritchie announced they’ve completed their current project and are finishing up that series. He then shared his plans for upcoming releases, mentioning ‘The Gentlemen’ and ‘MobLand’ are both scheduled to come out before the end of the year, along with a project called ‘Wife & Dog’. Overall, he said they have three or four releases planned before the year is over.
Season 2 of MobLand, set to release in 2026, was first hinted at in a promotional clip from Paramount+ featuring cast member Helen Mirren. In December 2025, initial photos from the set revealed Pierce Brosnan and Mirren filming scenes with director Guy Ritchie. Further photos leaked in February 2026 showed Tom Hardy filming with co-star Joanne Froggatt along the River Thames. Principal photography finished in March 2026.
Details about the new season’s storyline are still secret, but actor Hardy recently suggested that MobLand could get even bigger. In an interview with Collider in April 2025, he said they’re hoping to continue the show for multiple seasons and are considering expanding the setting internationally.
Hardy then highlighted that organized crime operates internationally, explaining that powerful families in every European country are competing to control the movement of illegal goods. He questioned how this activity is policed and regulated on a global scale.
In June 2025, ScreenRant published theories about what might happen in MobLand season 2. They predicted that Harry, played by Hardy, will face even greater conflict between his loyalty to his criminal family and his actual family. The article also suggested that trouble is brewing for Conrad (Brosnan) and Maeve (Mirren) as their criminal organization faces increasing threats from rivals and internal conflicts.
