Monster Eater first details, screenshots

Red Dunes Games and ACQUIRE have just revealed the first details and images for *Monster Eater*, a new side-scrolling pixel art action adventure game about hunting anomalies. It’s currently planned for release on PC through Steam, and potentially on other platforms as well.

You’ll finally be able to play *Monster Eater* at Tokyo Game Show 2025! The event takes place from September 25th to 28th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

This city is full of strange stories and hidden dangers. To stay alive, you’ll need to track down these threats-before they find you.

This is a city where urban legends come to life.

Holo, an exorcist with the unique ability to absorb and utilize the powers of strange occurrences, comes to town after Miya, a dedicated shrine maiden, asks for her help. The town is being troubled by bizarre events, and Miya is determined to protect it.

Clues lie in the forum “ParanormalPhenomena.com.”

Why does Holo devour the anomalies? Why does the message board exist?

Defeat the anomalies, seize their power, and choose the future.
