During the July Nintendo Direct, Capcom unveiled Monster Hunter Stories 3, sparking quite an emotional response from one enthusiastic fan. In anticipation of this new installment in the spin-off series, the fan had shared their excitement so passionately that they might have had an accident with their clothes, raising some concern about their laundry predicament.
As a devoted fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard rumors about Monster Hunter Stories 3 being announced for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The post, which suggested that such an announcement would send fans into a frenzy, certainly had everyone talking. And to make things even more thrilling, the official Monster Hunter account decided to weigh in on the discussion!
Apologies if my gaming enthusiasm got a little too real there, but let me clarify: Unearthing fresh Monster Hunter content can lead to some unexpected outcomes, like one unfortunate gamer’s pants situation. It’s all part of the thrill, I guess!
Instead of the usual Monster Hunter games where you hunt monsters as a Hunter, the Monster Hunter Stories series offers a unique twist by making you a Rider who employs RPG mechanics. Instead of hunting monsters, you spend most of your time riding them. In each game, you collect eggs and hatch them to gain companions, which you then ride to explore new territories or engage in battles.
In this version, the gameplay is structured more sequentially, placing greater emphasis on the narrative compared to its predecessor, and featuring a cuter visual style. If you enjoy delving into the lore of the Forbidden Lands, playing it will provide additional mythology. However, these games can also be enjoyed independently.
As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but feel the excitement brewing after four long years since Monster Hunter Stories 2 graced our screens. Yet, the impending arrival of the fourth installment also brings a tinge of apprehension. After all, what other health challenges might it bring along?
To help you prepare for venturing into the Forbidden Territories, here’s an extensive guide including a roster of creatures from Monster Hunter Wilds and a list of monsters for your reference.
