Monster Hunter Stories 3 Opens Up Pre-Orders Alongside A New Trailer

You can now pre-order Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the latest game in Capcom’s Monster Hunter Stories series, which features turn-based combat. It will be released on March 13, 2026.

Capcom announced the release date and shared new trailers. While some online stores show March 12th because of different time zones, the official PlayStation trailer indicates a worldwide release date of March 13th. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, and was also mentioned in previous coverage for Nintendo’s upcoming console.

Twisted Reflection, set in a world divided by the nations of Azuria and Vermeil, continues the series’ focus on storytelling in its RPG gameplay. Players will build relationships with creatures called “Monsties,” discover expansive areas, and engage in classic turn-based battles as a mysterious threat called the Crystal Encroachment spreads across the land.

Capcom’s official information details the core idea of two Rathalos and the conflict between Azuria and Vermeil. Recent announcements and store listings also reveal which monsters will be returning from past games, as well as some brand new creatures, including Magnamalo from the Stories series.

The latest trailers hint at the return of a powerful boss: Yama Tsukami. He’s shown as a massive, wild form connected to the game’s crystallization problem. The trailers also offer a wider look at the characters and groups involved in the story, which you can see here.

Capcom is emphasizing new features in the game’s systems, including ways for the whole party to move around and interact with the environment. You’ll also be able to quickly switch between Monsties while riding them to perform actions like flying or climbing. Finally, the game features a character creator allowing you to customize your main character both at the beginning and later on at the Rangers’ base.

Side Stories let you develop relationships with your companions and get rewards for doing so, like items, new Monsties, weapons, and improvements to special abilities.

You can now pre-order the game in Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Deluxe editions. The Deluxe edition includes a side story featuring the character Rudy, plus extra outfits and hairstyles for Eleanor, Gaul, Kora, Ogden, and Thea. If you choose the Premium Deluxe edition, you’ll also get an additional pack of cosmetic items.

If you pre-order the game, you’ll receive a special Skyscale Queen armor set for Eleanor. This armor is purely cosmetic, meaning it only changes her appearance, and it might become available later on through other methods.

Players can now earn bonuses by linking save data from previous Monster Hunter games! If you’ve played Monster Hunter Stories (the 2024 version), Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, or Monster Hunter Rise, you’ll be able to unlock special layered armor sets inspired by those games. Capcom also announced that the Nintendo version will support amiibo, offering even more cosmetic rewards.

The game is now available for pre-order on PlayStation and Xbox, with details about the different editions and a special bonus for those who pre-order. On PC, you can find it on Steam, where the release schedule for different regions and supported languages are listed.
