December is shaping up to be a month full of exciting announcements, especially with The Game Awards on December 11th. But before that, Capcom is holding a Monster Hunter showcase on December 8th at 2 PM PST to share the latest details about their two biggest Monster Hunter projects.
On December 16th, Monster Hunter Wilds will receive Title Update 4, introducing the Gogmazios, a massive new dragon. This update marks the first time players will face an Elder Dragon in the Forbidden Lands. While there may be other new content and details about future events, Capcom has stated their primary focus will be on this Title Update.
Okay, so it looks like we’re not getting any hints about a potential expansion anytime soon – probably not until The Game Awards. But on the bright side, they’re promising more news about Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection before it comes out on March 13th, 2026! Honestly, seeing monsters like Rey Dau, Chatacabra, and even Yama Tsukami from the original Monster Hunter 2 pop up is so cool – I’m really curious to see which other familiar faces they include in this game.
