Sony will release Death Stranding 2 on PC next month. While the recent State of Play presentation focused on the PC version, it’s worth noting that bonus content included with the new release will also be available for PlayStation 5 owners.
The PlayStation Blog announced that new modes and features are on the way, offering players fresh challenges and rewards. While the specifics of this new content haven’t been revealed yet, the PS5 version will be updated to support ultrawide monitors, including a 21:9 aspect ratio for both gameplay and cutscenes.
The patch will go live on PS5 on the same day the PC version releases, on 19th March 2026.
The first Death Stranding game received extra content – like racing tracks and a stealth mission inspired by Metal Gear Solid – when it was released on new platforms as the Director’s Cut. The upcoming sequel might add content in a similar way, offering smaller, self-contained game modes instead of expanding the main story.
Hey everyone, just wanted to share something cool! Jay Boor, the head of publishing at Kojima Productions, basically gave a shout-out to all of us fans. He said, on behalf of the whole studio, that they’re super grateful for the 10 years of support we’ve given them. It’s awesome to see them acknowledging us like that!
