Morgan Wallen knows people are still thinkin’ bout that piano.
That’s why the performer, age 33, quickly let fans know the piano he knocked over during a frustrated moment wasn’t damaged.
In a TikTok video posted June 2nd, he announced, “This piano is working!” as the camera showed a red piano. He added that he’d been told the same thing the night before.
Wallen captioned his post, “Can’t you tell I’m so distraught over my piano.”
The singer’s recent remarks follow an incident from two days prior, where he unexpectedly pushed over a piano while performing on his Still The Problem tour in Denver, Colorado.
During the final song of Morgan Wallen’s concert, while he was playing his ballad “Sand in My Boots,” it appeared he couldn’t hear the piano. Videos online show him finishing the song without any musical accompaniment, singing it on his own.
Although the crowd applauded at the end of the song, Wallen became upset and angrily knocked over his guitar, breaking pieces of it.
The announcement caused a varied response online. Some people criticized it as an overreaction, sarcastically commenting on a clip from Country Central with phrases like “maturity at its best” and “what class.” Others pointed out that this type of behavior isn’t unusual for musicians.

One fan pointed out that musicians have been doing similar things with guitars for years, while another simply defended the person, writing ‘Leave this man alone. Lol.’
Wallen, for his part, is no stranger to sparking conversation.
During his March 2025 appearance on Saturday Night Live, the singer of “Whiskey Glasses” surprised viewers by leaving the stage before the show ended – something that rarely happens in the show’s 51-season history.
Wallen added to the online buzz when he quickly posted a picture of a private jet after leaving the stage, with the caption, “Taking me to paradise.”
After a few months, Wallen publicly stated that his sudden departure and the picture of his plane weren’t related to claims that the cast and crew of Saturday Night Live had upset him.
He explained on the May 2025 episode of Sundae Conversations with Caleb Pressley that he was simply eager to finish work for the day, having been there all week.

During the March 29, 2025 episode of Saturday Night Live, Morgan Wallen performed as the musical guest and joined host Mikey Madison at the end of the show. However, instead of staying to celebrate with the cast as is customary, Wallen quickly hugged Madison and left. He then shared a photo on Instagram of a plane on the runway with the caption, “Get me to God’s country,” indicating he was heading home immediately.

Oh my gosh, you won’t believe what happened with Morgan! Back in April, the news broke that he was arrested for allegedly throwing a chair off the roof of Chief’s bar in Nashville. I was so worried! Thankfully, just a little over a week later, he finally spoke up on X. He said he needed to make things right before saying anything publicly, and that he’d already talked to the police, his family, and everyone at Chief’s. He admitted he messed up and took full responsibility – honestly, that just made me love him more! Then, in December, he actually pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment. It was so scary! He got two years of probation and had to spend seven days at a DUI education center. I’m just glad he’s taking it seriously and learning from it. He’s still the best!

In February 2021, a video surfaced of singer Morgan Wallen using a racial slur, prompting a swift apology to his fans. He stated he was deeply ashamed and that there was no justification for his language, promising to learn from the incident.
The backlash was immediate and significant. Numerous country artists publicly condemned his actions, radio stations stopped playing his music, his record label suspended his contract, and he was excluded from several award shows.
Later that month, in a video posted to Instagram, Wallen emphasized the impact of words, acknowledging the pain they can cause. He shared that hearing personal stories from Black individuals had been profoundly moving and helped him understand the gravity of his actions and the importance of using language responsibly. He recognized that his experience paled in comparison to the challenges faced by those he spoke with.

Morgan Wallen was originally scheduled to perform on Saturday Night Live in October 2020, but was removed from the show after videos emerged of him attending a party in Alabama without following COVID-19 safety guidelines. He explained in a social media video that he understood the decision, stating he didn’t have COVID-19 but acknowledged his actions were irresponsible and jeopardized his future plans.
Wallen took responsibility for his behavior, admitting he needed to mature and had been seeking happiness in the wrong ways. He announced he would be taking a break from public life to focus on personal growth.
Jack White filled in as the musical guest, and Wallen was later invited back to perform on SNL in December, even joking about the incident during a sketch.

Okay, so you guys know I’m, like, a HUGE Morgan Wallen fan, right? Well, back in May 2020, things got a little crazy. Apparently, he was out with some buddies and they ended up getting kicked out of Kid Rock’s bar in Nashville. I read the police report – it said he was messing around and accidentally kicked some glass, then got into it with people on the street. He actually tweeted about it, saying they were just being silly and didn’t mean to cause any trouble, and apologized to anyone who was affected. Honestly, I was so relieved when I found out the charges were dropped a few months later! It was a scary time, but everything worked out, and he’s still my idol!

Court records show that in 2016, Morgan Wallen was arrested in Tennessee for suspected drunk driving. However, the charge was later dropped that same year.
