Publisher Dojo System and developer Disaster Games have revealed the next installment in the Morkull Ragast’s Rage series, titled Morkull Ascend to the Gods. The game is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam in 2026.
Here is an overview of the game, via Dojo System:
About
Morkull Ascend to the Gods is a 2D action game where you play as Morkull, the God of Death, and battle challenging bosses.
The game takes place in the unique world of Morkull Ragast’s Rage. You play as Morkull, who realizes he’s trapped inside a video game. Your mission is to help him break free so he can unleash his wicked plans and dominate the world – and everyone in it, even you!
You’ll experience the immense power – and responsibility – of being the God of Death and Darkness. Prepare for challenging battles against a variety of enemies, including powerful minions, henchmen, and even other Gods within the Olympus of the Kingdom of Midaldus.
Don’t worry, you won’t have to face challenges alone. You’ll team up with Morkull, who has lots of different abilities and skills you can customize before each fight to create a strategy that suits you.
Although you’ll also die a good handful of times.
Morkull is back!
He’s naturally charming and funny, and loves to playfully interact with the audience. Expect a constantly upbeat and silly vibe, filled with plenty of puns, pop culture references, and memes – you’ll definitely need the laughs!
It’s like having a friend playing alongside you.
Similar to the first film, Morkull Ascend to the Gods is entirely hand-drawn and animated, carefully crafted frame by frame. This traditional approach gives the characters remarkably natural and lively movements.
Featuring a unique art style and vibrant colors, this installment takes you beyond Ragast to explore diverse locations within the Kingdom of Midaldus.
Morkull has returned! Join forces with him and support his cunning plan to achieve his goals.
