Mormon Wives Star Jessi Draper’s Husband Files for Restraining Order

Jessi Draper’s estranged husband is taking additional steps after seeking to end their marriage.

I was really shocked to learn that Jordan Ngatikaura filed for a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife, one of the stars of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, just days after he started the divorce proceedings. I saw the court documents myself on TopMob News, and it’s just… a lot to take in.

Jordan requested a temporary restraining order on March 20th, the day after he started divorce proceedings from his wife, Jessi. They share two children, 5-year-old Jagger and 2-year-old Jovi. Jessi, who founded JZ Styles Co., immediately filed a response opposing Jordan’s request.

Jessi’s lawyers stated to TopMob News that they are unable to comment on the ongoing legal case. TopMob News has contacted Jordan’s lawyer for a response, but has not received one yet.

The day before requesting a temporary restraining order, Jordan told TMZ he was ending his marriage with sadness. This came after his wife admitted to having an emotional affair with Marciano Brunette from the show Vanderpump Villa back in November.

In a statement released on March 19th, Jordan said he’s approaching this new phase with kindness and respect. He also asked for privacy and understanding for his family, including his daughter Peyton, age 13, from a previous relationship, as they go through this together.

Earlier this month, Jessi shared that therapy had been very beneficial for her and her ex-partner after they briefly separated due to her having an emotional affair. They sought help following the 90-day split.

I was so touched by what she shared in her recent interview with People magazine. She explained that going through this experience has really helped both her and her partner understand themselves better – not just as individuals, but also how they function as a couple. It’s been a real journey of self-discovery for them, and it’s lovely to see them grow together.

Jessi clarified that things weren’t fully recovered yet, explaining at the time that they were ‘still a work in progress.’

Last November, the 33-year-old spoke about working to get back together with Jordan, but acknowledged it would take time.

Relationships have their ups and downs,” she explained to TopMob News. “With a situation like ours, it’s going to take time to work through things. We won’t magically be perfect overnight.”

And she was intentionally candid about this difficult personal chapter.

She explained they were simply sharing their experiences, hoping others would find them helpful and relatable because they were genuine.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen began dating while appearing on the show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and had a son, Ever, together in 2024. However, their relationship ended because Dakota was unfaithful.

Taylor shared on the second episode of her Hulu series that shortly after her daughter Ever was born, she and her boyfriend Dakota were very happy and she was even thinking about getting engaged. However, she then discovered he had been dishonest with her the entire time.

Taylor was accused by a woman named Jenna of having a relationship with Dakota, claiming they had been intimate on multiple occasions. Taylor has publicly denied these accusations, stating in a TikTok post from September 2024 that he was faithful.

On the series, Taylor said that Dakota accused Jenna of instigating their affair.

She told the confessional that it was definitely him. He’d claimed he only kissed her on the couch, but she insisted they went further there, and then continued in another room.

After her breakup with the founder of Basin Tiling, Taylor is enjoying life and is open to finding love again. The mother of three – Indy and Ocean, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Tate Paul – will be looking for a partner on season 22 of The Bachelorette.

Nonetheless, she and Dakota are committed to developing a successful co-parenting relationship.

Taylor explained to TopMob News in May 2025 that she and her partner are both working on personal healing, as they realized they couldn’t achieve that while together. She’s currently prioritizing their child and her own well-being, and isn’t thinking about the future of their relationship beyond that.

However, things became complicated in early March when reports surfaced about a possible argument between the former couple.

A representative from the Draper City Police Department told People magazine they are investigating a possible domestic assault. They stated that both people involved have accused each other of wrongdoing.

Whitney Leavitt married Connor Leavitt in 2016, and he’s been her perfect partner ever since. They have three children – Sedona, Liam, and Billy – and have worked through challenges while living their lives in the public eye.

For instance, the Dancing With the Stars alum had to shut down rumors about her husband’s sexuality.

In an October 2024 appearance on the Off the Vine podcast, she jokingly asked if she needed to resort to extreme measures to prove things were okay, saying, “Trust me, we’re good. Everything’s fine.”

She explained that he had battled a pornography addiction, something I wasn’t aware of personally. She mentioned a scene where a friend observed his confusion around sexuality, and commented on it.

Despite challenges, the reality star shared that she and her husband, Connor, are more solid as a couple than ever before. They proved their commitment by renewing their wedding vows in February 2026, celebrating their tenth anniversary.

Conner shared with Brides that he and his partner married young. He explained that while their wedding day was special for them as a couple, it also felt very much about celebrating with their families. They wanted to create a truly personal experience, and they felt this was a fun way to do just that.

Jen and Zac Affleck, who are married and unrelated to Ben Affleck despite what some people joke, have been the subject of breakup rumors since 2019, when they first became a public couple.

A major argument sparked by Jen going to a Chippendales show in Las Vegas was a central part of the first season. Despite the fight, the couple—parents to Nora, Penelope, and Lucas—reconciled, and the Dancing With the Stars contestant later spoke out to support their relationship.

Jen explained to TopMob News in November 2025 that constantly hearing the same rumors was exhausting. She said she’s learned to expect opinions and gossip, but feels it’s particularly frustrating for the person being discussed when people don’t understand the hard work and dedication they’re putting in privately.

She and Zac are prioritizing their well-being and focusing on what’s important, though it’s still a challenge for him to ignore outside distractions.

Jessi and Jordan Ngatikaura have faced challenges in their marriage. After a difficult time caused by Jessi having an emotional affair with Marciano Brunette from Vanderpump Villa, things have improved for the couple and their children, Jagger and Jovi.

Jessi shared with TopMob News in November 2025 that she and her partner are working on rebuilding their relationship. She acknowledged that relationships aren’t always easy and that getting back on track after difficulties will take time and effort, not an instant fix.

The reality star, who is also a mother to Peyton from a previous relationship, shared that she and her partner are in therapy. She explained that while they experience challenges like any couple, they’re choosing to share their honest journey in hopes that it will resonate with and help others.

Mayci never thought she’d find love with Jacob Neeley. After her boyfriend, Arik Mack, unexpectedly passed away in 2015, she braced herself for single motherhood while being 14 weeks pregnant with their son, Hudson.

But it all changed when she met Jacob in 2016 at age 21, whom she would marry two years later.

In her memoir, Told You So, Mayci explained that she was cautious due to past experiences, but she and Jacob connected quickly. They stayed friends for a while, and because it wasn’t a formal relationship, she was comfortable with him getting to know her son.

She explained that Jacob was wonderful with him, and that made him even more appealing. Although she was afraid of getting hurt again, she admitted she couldn’t ignore her feelings after four months. He was a kind, funny person who made her feel secure.

Mayci and Jacob went on to welcome daughters Harlow in 2021 and Charli in 2025.

Demi Engemann married Bret Engemann in 2021, following her divorce from Blake Corbin the previous year. Their relationship, which unfolded on a reality show, gained attention when Whitney gave Demi Fruity Pebbles, leading to discussions about their intimate life becoming a central part of the show’s storyline.

Jessi revealed in a November 2025 Instagram post that her grandfather, Bret, has a surprising and disturbing habit: he drinks her urine as if it were a soft drink, consuming it quickly like water. This explained the strange gift he had given her.

Demi and Bret aren’t upset about their past issues—whether they were big secrets or smaller embarrassments. In fact, Demi told Entertainment Tonight in December that they’ve reached a point where they’re just accepting everything and choosing to enjoy life together.

Despite some public discussion about their intimate life, the couple is happily adjusting to life as a blended family. Demi has a daughter named Maude from a previous relationship, and Bret has two sons, Rome and Cole, with Angie Harrington, who is known from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

In June 2024, Demi shared on Instagram how incredibly loving and devoted her partner is as a father and step-father to Maude, and how excited she is for him to be a father to their future children. She expressed constant amazement at his unwavering dedication, even when facing life’s challenges.

I’ve been following Mikayla and Jace’s story for years, and it’s amazing to see how far they’ve come! They first connected back in 2015 when Mikayla was just 15, and then welcomed their son, Beckham, in 2017. They clearly knew they were meant to be, getting married in 2018, and have since expanded their beautiful family with Haven, Tommie, and little Lottie. It’s so lovely to watch them grow together as parents and as a couple!

Mikayla and Jace are enjoying raising their four children, but Mikayla has expressed a desire to have more kids in the future.

In an interview with People magazine in February 2025, she said she’s always pictured having three or four children, though she wouldn’t rule out having six. She’s also looking forward to moving to a new house with a large yard, ideally big enough for a lot of kids to play in.

As a big fan of the show, I was really saddened to hear Mikayla share in the latest episode that she and Jace are hitting a rough patch. She explained they’re taking some time to work through issues with their intimacy – it’s tough to watch, but I admire her honesty.

I’ve seen firsthand how unpacking past trauma, especially something deeply personal like sexual abuse, can really impact a marriage. It’s even more complicated when chronic illness is also in the mix – stress often makes those health issues flare up, and that creates a really tough cycle for both partners. It was definitely a challenging time for Mikayla and her husband, as they navigated both of these difficult layers.

Talking about sex or intimacy is really difficult for me,” she told Jace. “It feels overwhelming because I’m already on edge and completely stressed. I just don’t have the capacity to deal with it right now.”

Layla Taylor and Clayton Wessel, parents of Oliver and Maxwell, got divorced in 2023. Later, in July 2025, Layla hinted at a new relationship with Mason McWhorter.

Their relationship looked confusing when you mapped out the family connections. Here’s the deal: Mason’s brother is Chase McWhorter, and he’s the ex-husband of Layla’s colleague, Miranda McWhorter. Despite the complicated background, they were ready to see if their relationship could work.

Layla shared with Us in November 2025 that she’s not quite ready for marriage, but she’s open to building a deep connection with someone first. She expressed contentment with her current relationship with Mason, adding that they’d cross the marriage bridge if it ever came to that.

Unfortunately, the mom of two confirmed that she and Mason had split in February 2026.

Layla explained that she and her partner were simply growing in different directions, and he needed space to pursue his own path. She said she understands and supports his choice, and wishes him all the best.

Miranda joined the show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives in its second season and quickly became central to the widely discussed “soft swinging scandal” involving MomTok. However, despite the controversy with Taylor, Miranda has stated that this wasn’t the cause of her divorce from Chase, which happened in 2024.

She explained on the Weekly Trash podcast in August 2024 that the reasons for their breakup had been brewing for a long time. While recent events may not have helped, she clarified they weren’t a factor in the decision to split.

Nonetheless, she and Chase have been committed to parenting their kids Brooks and Cohen.

She thought that coparenting requires constant effort. She added that if they’d always had a perfect relationship, they likely wouldn’t have gotten divorced.

We’ve always been good friends, even before we became a couple,” she explained. “I think that strong friendship is a big reason why we’re able to co-parent so well.”
