MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Delayed to April 16th to Deliver “An Experience to Remember”

Both the sci-fi platformer Replaced and Fumi Games’ MOUSE: P.I. For Hire have been delayed. MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, a first-person shooter with a unique rubberhose animation style, will now release on April 16th instead of March 19th. The developers are using this extra time to polish the game and ensure it’s the best it can be for players.

We’re in the final stretch of development for MOUSE: P.I. for Hire and want to make sure it’s a truly memorable game. We’re taking a little extra time to polish things and deliver the best possible experience, which will mean a short delay of a few weeks, according to a statement from us and publisher PlaySide Studios.

This isn’t the first time the release has been pushed back – it was initially planned for last year, then moved to early 2026. MOUSE: P.I. For Hire follows Jack Pepper, a private investigator working in Mouseburg, as he investigates a case brought to him by a secretive woman. Like many detective stories, the investigation quickly reveals corruption and shady activities within the city.

Jack is well-equipped to handle any challenge with a wide range of weapons, including pistols, Tommy guns, and even futuristic tools like a freeze gun and a corrosive ray. This showcase also demonstrates his knack for investigation and solving the many mysteries within Mouseburg.

The detective game MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is heading to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. We’ll share more information before it releases, but you can now watch a gameplay clip featuring a boss battle against Betty Mark III.
