I’m so thrilled to hear that MOUSE: P.I. for Hire is doing really well! Apparently, it’s already sold over 730,000 copies since it came out – way more than PlayStack, the publisher, was expecting. That’s awesome!
The publisher has already earned back all of its investment in the game, covering development milestones, publishing, and marketing. Sales are evenly split between console and PC players, and with three million wishlists, the game is expected to continue selling well.
Thanks to the game’s popularity, PlayStack now expects to earn more money in 2026.
CEO Benn Skender explained that the company’s optimistic sales forecast is due to the continued success of Mouse: P.I. for Hire, especially following its launch last month. He noted the game’s strong performance is a result of its compelling content, the dedication of the development teams, and high levels of player involvement across all platforms.
Another independent game is proving popular in 2026, following the strong start to the year for mountain climbing simulator, Cairn.
We suggest including sales figures for Mouse: P.I. for Hire, as discussed in our PS5 Mini Review. We gave the game an 8 out of 10, praising its fantastic art style, animation, and fun shooting gameplay.
