MrBeast Says He Has “Negative Money” Despite $2.6 Billion Net Worth

MrBeast may actually have the least.

Jimmy Donaldson, the most popular creator on YouTube, recently shared that despite being worth an estimated $2.6 billion—largely due to his ownership of over half of his $5 billion company, Beast Industries—his actual bank account balance is surprisingly small, according to a report in Fortune.

Jimmy Kimmel jokingly told The Wall Street Journal that people often misunderstand his wealth. “They assume because I’m a billionaire, I have a lot of cash on hand, but that’s just my net worth,” he explained. “Right now, I’m actually in a negative financial situation.”

I’m currently borrowing money because I’m really short on cash. In fact, if you don’t count the value of my company, everyone watching this probably has more money in the bank than I do – not even enough for a McDonald’s breakfast!

Basically, despite his debts, Jimmy does have some savings. He’s mentioned before that he usually keeps under $1 million in the bank, and he explained his reasoning for that.

He explained that he’s so caught up in his work that he doesn’t pay much attention to his personal finances. His main focus is on creating the best videos and growing his company as much as he can.

Although MrBeast is generally careful with his money, he does treat himself occasionally. For example, he once flew across the world to visit his fiancée, Thea Booysen, after proposing to her on Christmas Day in 2024.

He explained that she was studying in the U.K., and he was determined to visit her. Living in North Carolina, far from a major airport, made travel difficult. He even considered renting a private jet just to see her, admitting that without that option, a trip simply wasn’t feasible.

Jimmy explained that a private jet flight takes eight hours, compared to nineteen hours on commercial airlines for a round trip. He estimated this time difference cost him around $150,000 when factoring in the value of his time.

Although the YouTuber initially felt terrible, he justified his actions by explaining he was simply eager to see his then-girlfriend, who later became his fiance.

MrBeast isn’t the only online personality to share details about how much money they make. Here’s a look at other internet stars who have revealed their earnings.

I’ve been following Bradley for a while now – he’s amazing at finding ways to boost your income. He recently shared his 2025 earnings, and I was blown away! He made $58,857 on OnlyFans, and even more – $123,933 – from creating content as an influencer. He’s built up a huge following on TikTok – 1.5 million people! It’s really inspiring to see how he’s diversified his income streams.

A content creator announced on Instagram in August 2025 that she made over $1 million on OnlyFans in just three hours. This happened less than a week after her 18th birthday.

Tay posted a screenshot showing she made over a million dollars – specifically $1,024,298. This included $486,558 from direct messages, $511,003 from subscriptions, and $26,736 in tips.

Kim Zolciak-Biermann’s daughter is building a career as a social media influencer. On her Bravo show, Next Gen NYC, she revealed she earns $1,000 for each sponsored post she creates on TikTok.

She explained in a July 2025 interview that living in New York City requires a much higher income than she had in Atlanta, and she’s focused on maximizing her earnings.

Ariana started making money from brand deals when she was just 14 years old, and she says it can be incredibly profitable. She explained that you can earn a lot of money for things like sponsored stories or Instagram posts, and she personally made a significant amount that way.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! She told us that some sex toy company actually offered her a HUNDRED THOUSAND dollars to promote their stuff! Can you even imagine?! She said no, of course, but the deal they offered was insane – two Instagram posts right in your feed, two TikToks, two Instagram Stories, AND two videos on YouTube! Like, a full-on campaign! I’m still reeling from it. She’s just so classy for turning it down, honestly.

The popular YouTuber, with more than 430 million subscribers, announced in February 2025 that his assets had reached a value of over one billion dollars, though this was based on calculations rather than actual cash in hand.

However, he explained that he mostly doesn’t keep that money for himself.

He shared on the Diary of a CEO podcast that he doesn’t have a million dollars in his bank account, explaining that he prefers to reinvest any earnings instead of letting them accumulate.

Despite being worth an estimated $2.6 billion, he recently stated in January 2026 that he has no money available.

MrBeast explained to the Wall Street Journal that he’s currently using borrowed funds because his personal bank account balance is low. He jokingly added that, if you don’t count the value of his company, most viewers likely have more readily available cash than he does – enough to even buy breakfast at McDonald’s.

The content creator announced she earned more than $43 million on OnlyFans in a single year. She even posted screenshots of her earnings from November 2023 to November 2024, showing she received a $4.7 million payment from a single fan.

The former Dance Moms star shared that she was earning a substantial income – easily over $100,000 each month – from her YouTube videos when she was just 13 years old. In the 2024 documentary Child Star, she also explained that she now posts frequently on Snapchat, sometimes up to 300 times a day, as part of her work as an influencer.

The TikToker revealed he has a net worth of over seven figures.

He jokingly responded to criticism in a video from July 2024, saying, “I don’t mind being called annoying—it’s actually made me very wealthy.”

The makeup artist shared that he makes around $50,000 each time he does a TikTok Live, and he streams four to five times a week. He earns this money by selling makeup and receiving gifts from his viewers.

Jeffree Star mentioned on the Cancelled podcast in November 2024 that he can earn $50,000 from his work. However, he also described days where he doesn’t make any sales. On those days, he enjoys a relaxed morning of making bacon at home, wearing a bathrobe and slippers, while chatting with fans and answering their questions.

Other times, he’s making bank by offering discounts on his own branded makeup products.

“It’s a niche market but it’s massive,” he added. “We’re the No. 1 or 2 beauty store.”

The OnlyFans creator, who gained notoriety in December 2024 for having intimate encounters with 101 men in a single day, recently told TopMob News that she makes a significant income from her adult content on the platform.

As for a ballpark figure, she said, “Oh, we’re in the millions.”

Markell, a popular creator known for his dance videos, revealed in 2023 that he makes between $500,000 and $700,000 annually. Most of his income comes from sponsorships with brands and revenue from ads shown during his Snapchat videos.

After becoming known on the Netflix show Love Is Blind in 2022, the couple became popular on social media and reportedly earned $500,000 each as influencers in under two years.

Just like with other events, the stars of The Hills also tried to profit from the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires by using social media. However, their earnings weren’t as high as many assumed.

Spencer said that reports claimed they made $3.5 million in one week. He joked that if the reports were accurate, they’d currently be house-hunting in Bel Air.

Instead, he revealed he only made $3,500 that week from the 5,000 videos on his TikTok page.

In January 2024, the popular ASMR YouTuber @itsblitzzz revealed she still earns around $56,400 annually from ads on her older videos, even though she hasn’t made any new content.

In just 14 years, she’s earned over $610,000 from ads on the platform, even though she has fewer than one million subscribers.

In September 2024, the ASMR creator earned $3,948.05 from TikTok, where she has almost 400,000 followers, and $910.95 from YouTube with around 27,000 subscribers.

A YouTuber from Minnesota earned more than $193,000 on OnlyFans between January 2020 and December 2022, according to a recent article she published on Medium.

In 2023, a content creator revealed on The Really Good Podcast that they earned $50,000 from just one sponsored video.

I was really interested to learn from a chronic illness advocate, through Salary Transparency Street, that she makes around $150,000 annually, even though she has under 40,000 followers on Instagram. It’s inspiring to see that kind of success, and it’s so helpful when people share this information!

According to Salary Transparency Street, the comedian earns between $5,000 and $10,000 for each sponsored video they create.

The YouTuber earned $4,746.94 from ads on her videos between August 2023 and January 2024. She achieved this with less than 30,000 subscribers and a total of 923,700 views.
