My Hero Academia Confirms Its Timeskip Story Is Getting an Anime (And It’s Needed)

The anime series My Hero Academia finished airing on December 13, 2025, but fans will be happy to hear it’s coming back for one last season next year to continue the story. The initial ending jumped forward eight years, showing a glimpse of what happened to the original Class 1-A students and setting the stage for Deku’s continued journey as a hero. Although the ending felt complete, the manga expands on the futures of these characters even further.

The manga’s extra final chapter, titled “More” (originally Chapter 431), wasn’t included in the anime’s initial finale. Instead, the anime is creating a special episode, also called “More,” to adapt this chapter. It will be released on May 2, 2026, as part of the celebration of My Hero Academia‘s 10th anniversary. This episode is important because it provides essential details about the aftermath of the final war, the characters’ motivations, and the new state of the hero world, offering a more complete conclusion to the story.
