I’m so excited! My Hero Academia is giving us one last episode in just a week, and it’s meant to be the real ending to the anime. The series technically finished last year with its eighth season, but they always planned this final episode to show us more of Deku and everyone else’s future. Plus, the new, more adult designs for Deku and the others they’ve revealed look amazing – I can’t wait to see it!
A new episode of My Hero Academia will air in May, adapting a special story that creator Kohei Horikoshi released after the manga finished. This episode, titled “More,” shows what happens eight years after the battle with All For One and Tomura Shigaraki. Fans are excited to see updated versions of their favorite Class 1-A heroes and how they’ve changed.

The latest episode of My Hero Academia (Episode 170+1) will premiere in Japan on May 2nd at 5:30 PM JST. Fans in the United States and other select countries can watch it at the same time on Crunchyroll. This release kicks off the celebration of the My Hero Academia franchise’s 10th anniversary, with more exciting plans to come throughout the year, including a North American concert tour. The episode will be made by the same team and feature the same voice actors as the TV anime series.
This new episode takes place eight years after the battle against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki. It’s based on a bonus chapter from the final volume of the My Hero Academia manga, which expanded on the time jump shown in the original series finale. Unlike that earlier ending, this episode provides closure for several emotional plotlines that fans felt were unresolved, offering a more complete conclusion to the story.

The My Hero Academia anime is concluding with its final episode. This episode will cover the very last content created by the author, Kohei Horikoshi, bringing the ten-year series to a close. The story jumps forward in time, showing Izuku Midoriya and the other heroes as adults in a world where the pro hero system has evolved after a major battle with villains. Deku, in particular, has undergone significant development.
If you’ve enjoyed the main series and want more, you can also watch the spinoff, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. It takes place years before the original story and shows a grittier side of the hero world. The second season recently finished airing, and while a third season hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s likely on the way.
