Fans of My Hero Academia are eagerly awaiting the anime’s return with a brand new, conclusive episode later this year. Although the main anime series finished its eighth and final season late last year, the creators are celebrating the show’s 10th anniversary with a special episode that continues the story after the finale, giving Izuku Midoriya a proper send-off.
Fans of My Hero Academia can look forward to a special episode this spring that expands on the anime’s ending, offering a more complete version of the creator’s original idea. And while we wait for that, Viz Media is releasing an English version of My Hero Academia: Ultra Artworks, a collection showcasing ten years of illustrations from the original manga.

A special art book called My Hero Academia: Ultra Artwork—featuring key illustrations from the manga’s ten-year run in Weekly Shonen Jump—will be released in the United States this fall. Fans also have a new My Hero Academia anime episode to look forward to this spring, making for two exciting releases in 2026.
The latest special episode of My Hero Academia, titled “More,” will premiere in Japan on May 2nd. Fans outside of Japan can watch it on Crunchyroll. This episode adapts a bonus chapter (chapter 431) that was originally included with the final volume of the manga. Unlike the chapters published in Shonen Jump, this epilogue is considered by many fans to be the definitive ending to the My Hero Academia story.
What’s New for My Hero Academia in 2026?
Even though the My Hero Academia anime finished airing last year, the series is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026! Fans can look forward to a new episode this spring, plus a global concert tour featuring music from the last ten years of the show. And it sounds like even more exciting news is coming soon.
If you’re planning to watch the new My Hero Academia special, you can stream the entire series now on platforms like Crunchyroll and Hulu. For even more content, check out the prequel series, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, which is currently airing its second season with no end in sight.
