It was physically exhausting – we had to keep pausing to breathe and redo parts that didn’t quite work. The hardest part emotionally came at the end, wondering if my performance was good enough. I just really wanted to know if it was okay.

Reflecting on Bakugo’s development leading up to the final battle, voice actor Chapin expressed how rewarding the role has been. He explained that it’s been a particularly fulfilling experience because, unlike many characters in any type of production – animation, anime, live action, etc. – Bakugo wasn’t limited to a single, predictable role; he was allowed to grow and change throughout the series.

Chapin explained what made playing Bakugo so rewarding. He said it was a gift as an actor to portray a character who evolves significantly throughout the series, yet still feels authentic to his original self.
