The latest episode of My Hero Academia‘s final season revealed All For One’s most frightening form and finally offered a glimpse into his past. The season has been building to the epic battle between heroes and villains, with All For One determined to reach Tomura Shigaraki and possess his body. However, Katsuki Bakugo’s return to the fight is giving the villain his first real challenge in the series.
Recent episodes of My Hero Academia have hinted at All For One’s extensive preparations to obtain One For All, but his true origins remained unclear. The latest episode changes that, as All For One uses the last of his power and reflects on his past. This provides a fresh perspective on his decades-long rivalry with his brother.
My Hero Academia Reveals All For One’s Origin at Last
All For One and his brother were born in an alley, but their mother didn’t survive the delivery. Around the same time, people began developing superpowers after a baby with a mysterious glow was born. This new wave of powers caused widespread problems in Japan, and All For One and his brother grew up experiencing this chaos firsthand. From a young age, All For One believed he was destined for greatness and saw everyone else as insignificant, but he felt differently about his brother.
Despite his brother’s increasingly violent actions – indiscriminately killing others to steal their abilities – he couldn’t abandon him. Driven by the villains in their favorite comics, the brother chose to become a terrifying Demon Lord. Over time, he decided he wanted his brother to join him, and forcefully gave him a unique power. However, when the future successor of One For All, Kudo, attempted to flee with his younger brother, All For One accidentally killed him.
Why All For One Desperately Wanted One For All

Seeing similarities between Bakugo and Kudo, All For One stops holding back and launches a powerful, all-out attack to reach Shigaraki. It’s then revealed the core reason behind their decades-long conflict: All For One wants One For All to reconnect with his younger brother. He’s been searching for One For All all along, believing a part of his brother’s spirit resides within it, and desperately wants to be reunited with him.
All For One desperately wanted to become a powerful villain and eliminate anyone who opposed him, but he still felt a strong, undeniable connection to his brother. He craved his brother’s affection, and his plan with One For All was a warped attempt to bring them together forever. However, Bakugo intervened, and the episode concludes with the villain apparently defeated.
