N.C.I.S: Los Angeles Actress Rachael Carpani Dies “Unexpectedly” at 45

Rachael Carpani‘s loved ones are in mourning.

The 45-year-old Australian actress, known for her roles in shows like N.C.I.S.: Los Angeles, The Glades, and Against the Wall, as well as the 2020 film The Way Back starring Ben Affleck, has passed away. Her sister, Georgia, confirmed the news.

Tony and Gael Carpani shared the heartbreaking news that their daughter, actress Rachael Carpani, passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 7th after a long illness. They announced the news on Instagram on December 15th, and shared that a private funeral will be held on December 19th with close family and friends.

The family has asked for privacy during this challenging time and won’t be releasing any more information.

Although Georgia had disabled comments on her own post, fans left many comments on an older photo from 2024 showing her with Rachael, a well-known actress who played Jodi Fountain in the Australian TV show McLeod’s Daughters for almost 180 episodes.

In September, Rachael shared how happy she was after spending her 45th birthday with her family.

She posted on Instagram that even though the world feels scary and is losing its kindness, seeing everyone’s support reminded her to appreciate the good things in life. She felt especially grateful for everything, every single day, given the difficult times.

Rachael shared, “You really brightened my life, even if it was just for a short time.” She continued, “I didn’t know how much I needed that happiness, or how much I’d appreciate all the kindness.”
