I’m thrilled to share that 2K has unveiled the next chapter in Visual Concepts’ iconic NBA 2K series – NBA 2K26! As always, the initial trailer doesn’t show any gameplay action, but legendary director Spike Lee’s voiceover certainly adds a dash of cinematic drama to it!
Luckily, you’ll find more comprehensive information about NBA 2K26 on its official website. The game is set to release on September 5th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and a yet-to-be-revealed Nintendo Switch 2. If you buy the Leave No Doubt Edition, you’ll be able to start playing three days earlier, from August 29th. PlayStation and Xbox players who opt for the Standard Edition will receive Dual Entitlement, granting them both current and previous-gen versions of the game.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to explore cross-gen progression within the same console family, but it seems that cross-play is limited to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC players when it comes to Gen 9. Unfortunately, this means that those on Nintendo Switch 2 won’t get to experience the latest features. Keep your fingers crossed for updates on enhancements this year, particularly for MyCareer, MyTeam, The W, and other exciting aspects of our beloved game.
