
NBC has renewed its popular ‘One Chicago’ shows – Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med – for the 2026-2027 television season. This means fans can expect Season 15 of Chicago Fire, Season 14 of Chicago PD, and Season 12 of Chicago Med. The renewal comes just three weeks after the latest crossover event featuring all three series.
The show’s renewal follows a period of transition, particularly after a recent crossover event that led to the departure of Dermot Mulroney’s character, Battalion Chief Dominick “Dom” Pascal.
The One Chicago Universe Lives On
It’s no surprise that NBC has renewed Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med – all three shows consistently get good ratings. What is surprising is that the renewals happened so early in the year. Usually, NBC waits until its Upfronts presentation in May to announce these kinds of deals.
Dick Wolf’s production company, Wolf Entertainment, is behind the popular One Chicago series, continuing a long partnership with NBC that began with the original Law & Order franchise. As for the Law & Order universe, NBC hasn’t announced whether it will renew Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, or Law & Order: Organized Crime for another season yet.
