Viewers are expressing their disappointment to Paramount and CBS after the cancellation of their newest series, Tony & Ziva. The show was canceled in December 2025 following its first season.
Dedicated fans of the show Tony & Ziva, featuring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, are campaigning for its return. They’ve purchased a billboard near Times Square, at the corner of Broadway and 49th Street, and launched an online petition. Fans can find more information about the revival effort on a dedicated website.
Fans of the show NCIS are planning a special tribute. For 24 hours, a billboard with the message “Save Tony and Ziva” will light up for 30 seconds every hour, starting at the 46th minute of each hour. The billboard is located at 1619 Broadway, between 49th and 50th streets. Michael Weatherly, who played Tony DiNozzo on the show, acknowledged the fans’ efforts on his X (formerly Twitter) account, sharing a post from the official NCIS: Tony and Ziva Fans X account.
The actor shared that the piece really touched them, even bringing a tear to their eye. They expressed immense gratitude to everyone who worked on it, saying they recognized and appreciated all the effort. They ended with a cheerful message and a ‘big kiss’ for the year 2026.
As a critic, I’ve been keeping a close eye on the numbers, and NCIS: Hawai’i is clearly a hit. Not only did it land in the Top 10 most streamed shows on Luminate for the week of September 5th to 11th – racking up an impressive 6.8 million viewing hours – but the trailer itself absolutely smashed franchise records with 93 million views in just one week. That kind of buzz is hard to ignore, and it suggests a very promising start for this spinoff.
Tony & Ziva Stars Say They Were ‘Lucky’
Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo shared a joint statement expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to reprise their roles and continue the story of Tony and Ziva. They thanked the entire cast and crew, as well as CBS Studios and Paramount+, for making their vision possible. Most importantly, they expressed their appreciation to fans worldwide for supporting their journey and witnessing Tony and Ziva’s happy ending.
The short-lived series Tony & Ziva had just one season with 10 episodes. While it started strong, viewership declined significantly – by 51
Alongside Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly, the series Tony & Ziva featured Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Julian Ovenden, Nassima Benchicou, Lara Rossi, Isla Gie, Terence Maynard, and James D’Arcy. The story began after Ziva was presumed dead and Tony left NCIS to care for their daughter. Years later, Ziva was found to be alive, prompting her to complete one last mission with NCIS before finally reuniting with Tony and their daughter in Paris.
For now, fans of the NCIS spinoff can watch Tony & Ziva on Paramount+.
