John Stark of Mac the Movie Guy described it as a disappointment with unrealized potential, featuring a talented cast lost in a meandering plot. Sammie Purcell of Rough Draft noted that the characters felt underdeveloped and the script by Seth Reiss didn’t effectively utilize the strengths of the actors or director Kogonada.

One viewer admitted giving it a slightly higher rating than they thought it deserved, appreciating its uniqueness, but found it tried too hard to be profound.
