Two days before it officially hits screens, the premiere episode will be livestreamed as part of a virtual event on June 23th at 9:30 PM EDT. The popular series Avatar: The Last Airbender was already planned to run for three seasons, with the third season serving as the finale. Season two will bring back Aang (played by Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) as they embark on a new quest: convincing the reclusive Earth King to join their fight against Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim). The creators have also promised that fans can look forward to live-action versions of memorable moments from the original story.
Iconic Scenes Are Being Reimagined
As a huge fan, I’m really excited to hear the producers, Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani, talk about Season 2! They said they can’t wait to work with the cast again and really explore those complicated connections between the characters as their story unfolds. Apparently, we’ll be seeing more realistic takes on everything, and they’re planning to fill in some gaps left by the animated version – showing us stories that weren’t fully told before.
