Good news for Jurassic World fans! All four films will soon be available to stream on Netflix, marking the first time since the rebooted series began that all movies have been in one place. If you’re planning a Jurassic Park marathon, we’ve even put together a guide to watch everything in order, including the animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and the short film Chaos Theory—both of which you can also find on Netflix.
Starting February 28th, you’ll be able to stream Jurassic World: Rebirth on Netflix. The rest of the Jurassic World movies – Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Jurassic World: Dominion – will be added to Netflix shortly after, on March 1st and 2nd. Keep in mind that the original three Jurassic World films will be available on different streaming services.
How Do the Jurassic World Films Rank?
The original Jurassic Park is widely considered the best film in the franchise, and with good reason. It wasn’t just groundbreaking CGI; the practical effects were truly exceptional, and the movie featured a fantastic cast including Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill. Though based on Michael Crichton’s novel, the film evolved into its own unique story, establishing the foundation for all the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films that followed.
Opinions on the Jurassic World movies are all over the place, but many fans seem to think Rebirth is the strongest installment, followed by Jurassic World, Dominion, and then Fallen Kingdom. When it comes to comparing the World series to the original Park films, people tend to have much stronger feelings. One fan explained that Jurassic World felt fresh, possibly because of the improved special effects compared to the 1993 film. However, they believe the sequels have become repetitive and less engaging.
The biggest complaint about the recent Jurassic Park films is that they stray from the original’s core message. However, dinosaur movies are always exciting! At its heart, Jurassic Park is about the dangers of unchecked ambition and trying to control the unpredictable—a force that money can’t fix. The latest film, Rebirth, finally feels like it’s recaptured that original theme, and it features some truly awesome dinosaurs, too.
