A popular thriller with 100 episodes will soon be leaving Netflix, much to the disappointment of its fans. If you want to watch it before it’s gone, you have until June 7th. Interestingly, the show also premiered on Netflix on June 7th last year, meaning it will have been available on the platform for just one year before being removed.
The TV show Blindspot follows Jane Doe, a woman discovered naked in Times Square with no memory of who she is. Her body is covered in mysterious tattoos, and FBI Agent Kurt Weller, whose name is tattooed on her back, and his team must help her uncover her past. As they investigate, they realize each tattoo holds a clue to Jane’s true identity, and she begins to question who she can trust.
Blindspot Reminds Us That Television Used to Be Fun
The show didn’t take itself too seriously, which allowed for some much-needed humor amidst a generally dark story. Though it occasionally fell into predictable tropes and rushed its explanations, it was consistently enjoyable. As critic Robert Bianco points out, the show’s success lies in Alexander’s ability to make you connect with the main character’s struggles while still portraying her as strong and resourceful. It definitely requires viewers to embrace the unbelievable, but that’s part of what makes it fun, letting the comedy and action really stand out.
I really enjoyed Blindspot even though it wasn’t perfect. It definitely reminded me a bit of shows like The Blacklist, and the story had a few shaky moments. But honestly, it created such a tense atmosphere with its modern look and fantastic music! I thought the characters were really well-developed, and it felt like the show didn’t get the recognition it deserved. It’s not the greatest mystery thriller ever, but it’s a seriously gripping watch – perfect for losing yourself in over a weekend binge.
